First off, I can read your mind, here's what you're thinking...
......"What the heck is this crazy site?" RIGHT?

Then the next question to come to mind is: "Who is this guy and a PoorJerk site?"

I would say good question but, it's NOT!

If you see the pictures above, that should be your first clue. I worked in a local factory for years, long hours, lousy pay, and wasted many years of my life. I know that there are 100's, 1000's, no millions of people out there doing the same thing. Yup, I'm a jerk, I admit it, but only because I was stupid enough to follow the crowd and waste most my life working away for someone else which basically made them rich. I've been on the Internet since 1995. My intention here is to honestly fill you in on what I have seen, (like the Rich Jerk site for one) and have been through in hopes that it may enlighten you with enough information so you won't become a poor jerk too. Hey, if some rich guy can put up a site, why not a poor guy. I will say in all honesty that I'm not really poor poor but, pretty much an average person like most people are. I remember when I first started out on the Net. I didn't know tit from tat. It really wasn't until after a few years went by, probably 3 or 4 before I decided to start looking for a way to earn some extra cash on the Internet. Hey, why not I figured. Yes, I must admit that I tried some of the get rich quick schemes myself. Recently it was the doublers that were popping up all over the place. Have you noticed how those have cooled off recently? Hmmm.... I wonder why? Maybe because people finally learned that they are only effective for those who get in right at the beginning otherwise you were just donating your money. Boy, what a learing curve it has been. Take advertising for instance. I didn't have much money to really invest in anything so I used all the freebies. Here's a list of what I tried:


  • FFA's (Free for all sites)- You just receive others offers
  • Free classifieds - Everyone posts, no one reads
  • Traffic exchanges - Owners making money selling credits
    1. Manual surf
    2. Auto surf
  • Safelists - Everyone is just dumping the ads
    1. Free
    2. Paid
    3. Credit based
    4. Optin
  • E-zine ads - Actually pretty good but expensive
  • Blasters - Might as well buy a bull horn and shout in it((

I imagine some of this, if not all of it probably sounds very familiar to you too. Most of us have tried it and I'm sure you would agree that it's not really very effective. Have you seen the latest thing to hit the advertising scene? Pixel ads. It's a page laid out on what looks like graph paper. It has all those little squares and each square has 100 pixels, with each pixel costing $1. It costs $100 for just one tiny little square which is almost invisible. So to obtain anything of size really worth showing, it will cost you thousands of dollars. It's absolutely insane to say the least. Someone is getting very rich off this one and it's not me. Now for the REST of the story.

Can a person honestly make money on the Internet without having a lot of money to invest to get started? Good question. I think you know the answer to that. Of course. Is it easy? Nope. Is it fast? Well, for the most part no but, it does depend on what you consider fast, a week, month or a year? It also depends a lot on how much time you have to put into it. Anything is possible but to be practical it's going to take at least a few months to a year to get started and going with most of your conventional methods.

What should one start out with? Another good question and there are different options to choose from. There is affiliate marketing, which you sell what someone else has to offer and you get a percentage of each sale. Usually in order to do some good with affiliate marketing, it's best to sell more than just one item, become an affiliate for more than one product. For the most part, you get a replicated site from the owner and try to get it out in front of as many people as you can. Can be time consuming and quit a bit of work to say the least. It costs money to advertise, period!

My favorite is the new Niche Marketing scene. WHY? Because you can offer your personal insight which can help others who are looking for information on your favorite hobby or interest. You can create high content sites and pages which the search engines love and BEST of all, you can earn without selling anything.

In case you haven't heard, blogs are one of the BEST and easiest ways to advertise. I bet you didn't know that they are also a great way to earn some extra income with too.
